Tour Sacred Valley + Connection to Machu Picchu 2 D/1 N

DAY 1: SACRED VALLEY - AGUAS CALIENTES

TOUR STARTS 6:45 a.m.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas is located at an altitude of 2790 meters above sea level.
It includes Chincheros, Moray, Salineras, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo.
Each of these sites contains archaeological remains built by the Incas.
Historically, the Sacred Valley was one of the main production centers due to the richness of its soil. Today, it is the place where the best corn is produced. Our first stop will be in Chincheros, which still maintains its traditional textile and ceramic art. We will visit its colonial church, which highlights its most important canvases from the 15th and 17th centuries. Next, we will visit Moray, which was an agricultural research center where cultivation experiments were carried out at different altitudes. Then we will visit the Maras Salt Mines, which have more than 3,000 to 4,000 pools of varying sizes and dimensions. These pools belong to local families who, during the dry season, take advantage of the salt produced, treating it with iodine and selling it at the market. Continuing our journey, we will arrive in Urubamba, where we will have a buffet lunch before visiting the city of Ollantaytambo, which dates back to the 15th century. After our visit to Ollantaytambo, we will take our train in the afternoon, depending on the available times we book (4:30 PM, 7:00 PM, 7:26 PM). The train journey to our destination takes approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our hotel transfer will be waiting with a sign displaying our names (hotel check-in). That evening, our guide will pick us up to give our briefing and coordinate our visit to Machu Picchu the following day.

On the second day, we will transfer early to the bus station (after coordinating with our guide) to ascend to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. The journey takes 25 minutes, allowing us to reach the Inca citadel. The Machu Picchu tour offers a spectacular guided walk of approximately 2.5 hours. You will discover one of the seven wonders of the world, important aspects of the Cusco (Inca) culture, and the development of their stone constructions, with unique buildings full of mystery and energy. In the afternoon, you will board the return train, and upon arrival at the Aguas Calientes station, we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. Important: The train schedules indicated are for reference only and may vary based on train availability.
